We Be Shufflin' and Some Lyrics!

So Kid_Lysol guessed correctly that Elderly Woman Behind A Counter In A Small Town is my favorite Pearl Jam song. My favorite lyric is "Memories like finger prints are slowly raising". What a great simile. So I decided to post the lyrics and a link to a decent You Tube video of it. My shuffle songs for the day are at the end. Cheers!

I seem to recognize your face

Haunting, familiar, yet I can't seem to place it

Cannot find the candle of thought to light your name

Lifetimes are catching up with me

All these changes taking place, I wish I'd seen the place

But no one's ever taken me

Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...

Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...

I swear I recognize your breath

Memories like fingerprints are slowly raising

Me, you wouldn't recall, for I'm not my former

It's hard when, you're stuck upon the shelf

I changed by not changing at all, small town predicts my fate

Perhaps that's what no one wants to see

I just want to scream...hello...

My God its been so long, never dreamed you'd return

But now here you are, and here I am

Hearts and thoughts they fade...away...

Hearts and thoughts they fade...away...

Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...

Hearts and thoughts they fade...

Pictures of You - The Cure (Show (Live))
Feeling Lucky - Jimmy Eat World (Chase This Light)
Acoustic #3 - Goo Goo Dolls (Live In Buffalo - July 4th, 2004)
Be Be Your Love - Rachael Yamagata (KCRW Sessions: Rachael Yamagata - EP)
Someday Someway - Marshall Crenshaw (The 9 Volt Years: Battery Powered Home Demos & Curios)
Always Love - Nada Surf (KEXP Acoustic Session - Live At the Triple Door)
Crying (Duet With k.d. lang) - Roy Orbison (The Very Best Of Roy Orbison)

"Forever for Tonight" is by far my favorite pick of the bunch. It is a great love song that if you have ever been in a long-distance relationship will hit you hard. It was one of Audra and my songs before I moved from Memphis to Las Vegas. Here it is on Youtube. If you have never heard it please go do so. The person set it to an Anime slideshow, so you can just minimize the window to hear how beautiful this song is.

Nice song. I had forgotten about it. Clean guitar and good vocals. The Inuyasha anime was crap (I'm not a fan of the series), but the song was great.
